The Duchy of Cornwall’s Integrated Annual Report reveals Prince William and Kate Middleton received $30.9 million (£22.9 million) for the 2024–25 fiscal year to cover public, private and charitable expenses for them and their three children. The Duchy — inherited by William in 2022 — is valued at over $1 billion and owns more than 130,000 acres across 23 English counties. The estate reported creating 400 hectares of new habitat and is working toward a net‑zero goal, and a Fields In Trust study found 99% of local residents have good access to nature.

The Duchy of Cornwall’s Integrated Annual Report discloses that the Prince and Princess of Wales received $30.9 million (£22.9 million) for the 2024–2025 fiscal year. The payment from the Duchy is intended to cover the couple’s public, private and charitable expenses, including costs associated with their three young children.

What the Report Says

The sum covers public, private and charitable costs for Prince William and Kate Middleton and their three children: Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10) and Prince Louis (7). Prince William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall in 2022 when his father, King Charles III, became monarch.

The Duchy is valued at more than $1 billion and was established in 1337 by King Edward III to provide income for the eldest son of the reigning monarch. Today the estate holds more than 130,000 acres — including farmland, woodlands and property interests — across 23 counties in England.

Environmental And Community Work

The report highlights the Duchy’s environmental commitments: it says the estate created 400 hectares of new habitat over the year and is working toward a net-zero goal. The report also highlights community initiatives and partnerships aimed at improving access to outdoor space.

“The Duchy has also seen success in its ongoing work to build healthy communities,” wrote Will Bax, Secretary and Keeper of the Records for the Duchy of Cornwall. “In partnership with Fields In Trust, a new study found 99% of people living in communities where the Duchy has a significant presence have good access to nature.”

The Integrated Annual Report provides a financial and operational snapshot of the Duchy’s activities and priorities for the year, including land management, investment performance and environmental commitments.
