Patrick Clancy, 38, told 60 Minutes he and his new wife, Rachel Danis, are "starting a family" even as they continue to mourn the deaths of his three children. The couple — who married in April — spoke with Ross Douthat in Patrick's first televised interview since the trial of his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, ended in a mistrial.

The three children — Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months — were killed at the family's home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023. Patrick said he envisions including his late children in the future he and Rachel are building.

"I think every parent can agree you have different relationships with your kids, but they're all your kids. I can't wait to tell them about their brothers and sister," Patrick said.
Rachel, 37, described how she first learned about Patrick's children. While the couple were having coffee, she noticed a photo of Cora, Dawson and Callan on his phone and asked, "Who are those cuties?" Patrick told her they were his children and, when asked where they lived, said, "They died." Rachel said she has since learned how to support Patrick through his grief: "I know I can't fix, I can't bring his kids back."
