The Department of Homeland Security has fired a senior CBP official accused of leaking sensitive personnel data and border-wall negotiation details to the press; the unnamed officer was escorted from his Washington, D.C., office after the leak was identified. DHS warned the release of such material is especially dangerous amid a reported rise in death threats and vowed to prosecute leakers. A Fox News Digital investigation identified an underground communications network used by anti-ICE activists to doxx and coordinate confrontations, with at least 13 databases said to hold aggregated personal data. The FBI is probing Signal chats tied to coordinated actions, and authorities have arrested at least one individual allegedly encouraging violence against agents.

The Department of Homeland Security has dismissed a senior Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official after investigators concluded the officer allegedly leaked sensitive personnel information and details about border-wall negotiations to the press, sources told Fox News Digital.

What Happened

Sources say the unnamed CBP official was escorted from his Washington, D.C., office once DHS identified the leak. Department officials confirmed the removal but have not publicly released the officer's name.

"As DHS law enforcement face an 8,000% increase in death threats, leaking law enforcement sensitive information is abhorrently dangerous," a DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "DHS is agnostic about your standing, tenure, political appointment, or status as a career civil servant — we will track down leakers and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law."

Investigation and Context

The dismissal follows a Fox News Digital investigation that uncovered an underground communications network reportedly used by anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activists across the country. That reporting describes tactics including doxxing of agents, tracking license plates, and publishing personal information about federal personnel.

Investigators say at least 13 database systems are known to store aggregated information about federal officers. The data reportedly includes personal details, photographs, uniform descriptions, behavioral patterns, phone numbers and other sensitive material that could place officers and their families at risk.

Signal Chats and Federal Scrutiny

FBI Director Kash Patel has said the bureau is investigating Signal messaging chats that enabled organizers to coordinate efforts to obstruct and confront federal agents in Minneapolis and elsewhere. Sources at DHS told Fox News Digital they could confirm leaks to the press but could not verify whether the fired official had any connection to the Signal groups under FBI review.

Related Arrests and Concerns

Federal reporting cites multiple confrontations between trained, allegedly well-funded agitators and federal officers. One high-profile arrest involved Kyle Wagner, a Minneapolis resident who described himself as an Antifa member; authorities say he encouraged followers to attack ICE agents. Video obtained by reporters allegedly captures Wagner urging followers to "get your guns" and identify agents.

Attorney General Pam Bondi, announcing Wagner's arrest, said he "allegedly doxxed and called for the murder of law enforcement officers, encouraged bloodshed in the streets, and proudly claimed affiliation with the terrorist organization Antifa before going on the run."

Ongoing Investigations

Federal agencies are reportedly investigating Wagner's case alongside a broader probe of the multichannel communications network alleged to mobilize agitators against ICE and other federal personnel. DHS officials characterized the dismissal of the CBP official as part of ongoing efforts to protect officers and their families from exposure and potential violence.

Note: The allegations and ongoing investigations reported here come from Fox News Digital sources and statements from law enforcement officials. The fired employee's identity and any potential connections to other networks have not been publicly confirmed by DHS or the FBI.
