Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will represent President Erdogan on U.S. President Donald Trump's international "Board of Peace," a Turkish source told Reuters. Turkey's FM Hakan Fidan To Represent Erdogan On Trump's 'Board Of Peace' At Davos

Ankara, Jan 21 — Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will represent President Tayyip Erdogan on U.S. President Donald Trump's international "Board of Peace," a Turkish source told Reuters on Wednesday. The initiative, initially linked to efforts to address the Gaza conflict, has been presented by Trump as a broader vehicle for resolving conflicts around the world.
Leaders-Level Representation And Davos Ceremony
Trump is scheduled to preside over a signing ceremony for the "Board of Peace" on Thursday at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. A Turkish source with knowledge of the matter, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Fidan would attend the leaders-level event as Erdogan's representative.
Erdogan said in parliament: "Hakan (Fidan) will join."
White House Listings And Additional Roles
The White House earlier named Fidan to a separate "Gaza Executive Board," which it said includes figures such as Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, former British prime minister Tony Blair and Jared Kushner. The Turkish Foreign Ministry also confirmed in a statement that Fidan will attend Thursday's signing ceremony in Davos.
This development underscores Turkey's diplomatic engagement in high-profile international initiatives and signals Erdogan's decision to send a senior cabinet official to represent him at a globally publicized event.
