Trump To Lead Large U.S. Delegation At Davos As Administration 'Comes In Force'

President Trump will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos later this month, leading a large U.S. delegation that includes senior cabinet members and White House advisers. Organizers say the administration is "coming in force," and the USA House will be formally recognized by the U.S. State Department as the country's headquarters on the Promenade. Trump plans to discuss his administration's efforts to tackle high prices — a politically sensitive issue ahead of the midterm elections.

President Donald Trump will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, later this month, leading a sizable U.S. delegation that officials say will "come in force." The planned roster includes several senior cabinet members and White House advisers, according to an official familiar with the planning who spoke to Semafor.

Reported participants listed for the delegation include Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Energy Secretary Chris Wright. Also named were Jamieson Greer, head of U.S. trade policy; Steve Witkoff, special envoy to the Middle East; AI and crypto figure David Sacks; Michael Kratsios, head of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; and Mehmet Oz, director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

"The administration is coming in force," said Dave Ackerman, who is organizing the USA House in Davos. For the first time, the U.S. State Department is recognizing USA House as the country's official headquarters on the Promenade.

This will mark Mr. Trump's third in-person appearance at the Davos forum, the gathering long seen as a focal point for global, multilateral engagement. He first attended in 2018 and returned in 2020; each visit was framed differently as he addressed global audiences and promoted his administration's priorities.

Focus On Affordability

Mr. Trump said on Wednesday that he plans to use his Davos platform to outline his administration's efforts to address rising costs and high prices — an issue that has become politically salient for the White House and for congressional Republicans ahead of this year’s midterm elections.

Details about the delegation and the White House agenda in Davos remain subject to change and are based on planning sources and official statements.
