Trump Offers to Release October MRI Results, Says He Doesn’t Know Which Body Part Was Scanned

President Trump said he will release results from an October MRI and described the findings as "perfect." The White House has not said why the imaging was performed or which part of the body was scanned. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called it "advanced imaging" at Walter Reed and said the results show the president is in "exceptional physical health." Trump also said he "has no idea" which area was scanned and added it couldn’t have been his brain because he "aced" a cognitive test.

Trump Offers to Release October MRI Results, Says He Doesn’t Know Which Body Part Was Scanned

President Donald Trump said Sunday that he would make public the results of an MRI he underwent in October, calling the findings "perfect." He made the comment during a brief exchange with reporters while returning to Washington from Florida.

The White House has not explained why the MRI was performed as part of last month’s routine physical exam, nor has it disclosed which part of the body was scanned. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described the procedure as "advanced imaging" at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and said the results indicate the president remains in "exceptional physical health."

When asked whether he knew what had been scanned, Trump said he had "no idea" which area was imaged. "It was just an MRI," he said. "What part of the body? It wasn't the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it."

What to watch: The president said he would release the MRI report if asked; a formal release would be expected to clarify the scan's purpose and the area examined. Officials have not yet provided that additional context.
