Drudge Report Amplifies Concerns Over Trump’s Bruised Hands and ‘Hole in Hand’ Claims

Photographs from Mar-a-Lago showing visible marks and differing concealer tones on President Trump’s hands have drawn renewed scrutiny. Drudge Report amplified the coverage with large headlines and a prominent image, while the White House attributed the right-hand discoloration to frequent handshakes and did not address the left-hand marks. Social media and some outlets raised further concerns, including a claim of a “hole” in the left hand, prompting renewed public debate about the president’s health.

Media attention has returned to visible marks on President Donald Trump’s hands after photographs from Mar-a-Lago showed discoloration and what some observers described as different shades of concealer on each hand.

Conservative aggregator Drudge Report pushed the topic into the spotlight with bold front-page links and headlines reading “BRUISES SPREAD” and “'HOLE IN HAND,'” accompanied by a prominent photo of the president’s hands.

What Officials and Commentators Have Said

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told The Daily Beast that the marks on Mr. Trump’s right hand were the result of frequent handshakes. She defended the president’s routine public greetings while declining to offer an explanation for the discoloration observed on his left hand.

“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day,” Leavitt said.

Social media users and outlets such as the U.K. tabloid Express highlighted additional concerns raised online, including a post from commentator Aaron Rupar who wrote, “There appears to be a hole in Trump’s left hand.”

Context And Public Reaction

Observers note that the president has at times covered his right hand with his left or worn a bandage during recent public appearances. The renewed focus on his hands — and the speculation that follows — has reignited broader questions about his health and public image.

Mr. Trump previously addressed scrutiny about his hands during the 2016 campaign when he dismissed remarks about their size after an exchange with then-rival Marco Rubio, saying at the time, “I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee you.”
