The U.S. Commerce Department has authorized exports equivalent to up to 35,000 NVIDIA Blackwell (GB300) AI chips to Abu Dhabi’s G42 and Saudi-backed Humain, subject to strict security and reporting conditions. A block of 35,000 Blackwell chips is estimated at about $1 billion, though prices vary. Humain also announced plans to acquire up to 600,000 NVIDIA chips and to partner with xAI on data centers in Saudi Arabia, including a 500 MW facility.

U.S. Clears Exports of Up to 35,000 NVIDIA Blackwell AI Chips to G42 and Humain

The U.S. Commerce Department has approved exports equivalent to up to 35,000 NVIDIA Blackwell (GB300) artificial intelligence processors to two Gulf-based companies: G42, a state-backed AI firm in Abu Dhabi, and Humain, a Saudi government-backed AI venture.

According to the Commerce Department statement, both approvals are conditioned on strict security and reporting requirements that the companies must meet. A shipment of 35,000 Blackwell chips is estimated to be worth roughly $1 billion, although market prices can vary.

Earlier the same day, Humain said it plans to acquire as many as 600,000 NVIDIA AI chips. Humain and Elon Musk’s xAI also announced intentions to jointly develop data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, including a facility of roughly 500 megawatts.

These authorizations underscore rising regional demand for advanced AI hardware and illustrate how export controls are being managed to balance commercial opportunities with security safeguards.
