A Russian drone strike on a market in the Bucha district of Kyiv killed two people and wounded several others, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Sunday evening.
Klitschko said at least four people were wounded in the market attack, while other sources put the number of injured at about 10. Kyiv's military administrator, Timur Tkachenko, also confirmed two fatalities following the strike.
Wider Pattern Of Attacks
The Ukrainian capital was struck multiple times during the day by Russian combat drones. According to Klitschko, nine people were injured in separate incidents when drones hit various buildings across the city.
The attack comes amid an intensifying campaign by Russia, which has been using its air force, combat drones and ballistic missiles to target Ukrainian cities while front lines remain largely deadlocked. Ukraine has responded with drone strikes targeting sites in Russia, including facilities linked to the oil and defence industries.
