There is less than one month until early voting begins in Georgia's midterm elections. Early voting opens Oct. 13 across the Peach State, and voters will see a range of statewide and local contests that could shape policy on education, healthcare and taxes.
Top Races To Watch
U.S. Senate: Incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff is running for re-election against Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump. Ossoff won his seat in a January 2021 runoff; a U.S. Senate term runs for six years.
Governor: Democratic former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms faces Republican healthcare executive Rick Jackson for the open governor's seat Gov. Brian Kemp is leaving after two terms. Bottoms won the Democratic primary convincingly; Jackson secured the Republican nomination after a runoff with Lt. Gov. Burt Jones. Polling shows this race is very close and could be decided by undecided voters.

Constitutional Amendments On The Ballot
- House Resolution 32: Increases the maximum qualifying acreage that may be assessed and taxed as bona fide conservation use property.
- House Resolution 251: Provides for the nonpartisan election of all probate court judges.
- House Resolution 1243: Authorizes creation of the Georgia Next Generation 9-1-1 Fund to expand, maintain and operate 9-1-1 systems.
How to Prepare: Check your sample ballot at the GA My Voter Page, confirm your polling location or early voting hours, and bring the required ID when you vote. Early voting gives you more flexibility, so consider voting sooner rather than later.
