Centric Compounding has recalled six lots of three injectable wellness supplements — Glutathione, Myers' Cocktail, and Tri-Immune Boost — after detecting elevated endotoxin levels in an ingredient. The Sept. 11 recall follows nine reports of symptoms including fever, chills, chest pain, nausea, and headache. Nationwide Recall: Three Injectable 'Wellness' Supplements Pulled Over Endotoxin Contamination Risk

Centric Compounding of Texas has issued a nationwide recall for multiple lots of three injectable supplements after detecting elevated endotoxin levels in an ingredient used to make the products. The company announced the recall on Sept. 11 and says the contamination could cause serious medical events, including death.
What Was Recalled
Products: Glutathione, Myers' Cocktail, and Tri-Immune Boost (injectable formulations).
Scope: Six lots included in the Sept. 11 recall; affected vials were distributed to prescribers and patients nationwide.
Why They Were Recalled
Centric reported elevated levels of endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides released by certain bacteria) in an ingredient used in the recalled injectables. Endotoxins can trigger strong inflammatory responses and, at high levels, lead to fever, low blood pressure, shock, or death.
Reported Symptoms
The company has received nine reports of adverse events linked to the recalled products. Reported symptoms include fever, chills, chest pain, nausea and vomiting, headache, and general malaise.
What Patients Should Do
If you have any vials of Glutathione, Myers' Cocktail, or Tri-Immune Boost from Centric Compounding, immediately check the lot number against the recall notice. If your lot is included, stop using the product and discard remaining doses safely.
Anyone who develops symptoms should contact their clinician or seek medical care promptly. For questions about the recall or replacements, Centric Compounding can be reached at 1-833-777-6664 or [email protected]. The company says it is arranging replacement products for affected users.
“There is reasonable probability that injectable products with elevated endotoxin levels could cause significant medical events including fevers, hypotension, inflammatory reactions, anaphylactic shock, and death,” the recall notice said.
About Compounded Injectables
Compounding pharmacies create customized medications for patients with specific needs not met by mass-produced drugs. Because these products are often tailored and distributed through specialty channels, patients may still have doses at home and should verify lot numbers immediately.
Note: If you are unsure whether your lot is affected, contact Centric or your prescribing provider before discarding or replacing medication.
