Masked Thieves Drive Car Through Anaheim Hills Jewelry Store, Steal Owner’s Gun in Daytime Smash-and-Grab

Surveillance footage captured a brazen daytime smash-and-grab at a jewelry store in Anaheim Hills, California, after a vehicle was driven through the storefront and masked suspects ransacked display cases before fleeing in getaway cars.
What the Video Shows
The clips begin with two men seated inside the shop. A vehicle pulls up to the glass front door, suddenly accelerates and crashes through the entrance, shattering the glass and dislodging the frame. Several masked suspects—dressed in black—rush in. Three are shown overturning and rifling glass cases while a fourth appears to act as a lookout by the doorway.
One customer near the front remains frozen, phone in hand, while the thieves grab jewelry and flee through the torn entryway. The footage shows four people inside the store, but authorities say a much larger group took part.
Store Owner: "Eight to ten guys run in with masks, trash cans, and crowbars, hammers, and smash every showcase. My gun was on the table, they grabbed my gun and at that point I thought I was going to get shot." — Ramcy Tabelo
Police Response and Aftermath
The Fullerton Police Department said the suspects fled in two separate vehicles. During police pursuits, both getaway cars later crashed—one collision involved multiple vehicles and the second occurred roughly five minutes later. Investigators recovered trays of stolen jewelry from the crashed vehicles.
Authorities reported that those involved in the crashes abandoned the vehicles and fled on foot. While surveillance showed four suspects inside the store, police believe eight to ten people participated in the operation. At least five suspects have been taken into custody as the investigation continues.
