Enten: Trump ‘Underwater Like The New Jersey Jets’ — 310 Days Of Negative Net Approval

Harry Enten of CNN highlighted that President Donald Trump’s net approval rating has been below zero in his poll aggregate every day since March 12, 2025 — a streak of 310 consecutive days. Major polls cited include Quinnipiac, Yahoo, Ipsos and AP‑NORC, and Enten said there was "no real change" month-to-month. He flagged consistent weakness on immigration, foreign policy, the economy, trade/tariffs and an Epstein-related deficit of about 38 points. Enten also noted that Fed Chair Jerome Powell is under DOJ scrutiny and prediction markets place Powell’s removal before May at roughly 8%.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten said Thursday he was struck by how long President Donald Trump’s net approval rating has remained below zero across major polls.

“Look across the board. Just look at Donald Trump’s net approval rating. Negative! Negative! Negative! Negative!” Enten exclaimed, citing recent results from Quinnipiac, Yahoo, Ipsos and AP‑NORC. He added there has been “no real change in the aggregate” from the prior month.

“In my aggregate of polls, Trump is underwater like the New Jersey Jets,” Enten said. “We are talking about every single day in my aggregate of polls since March 12, 2025. In terms of days in a row, we are talking about 310 days in a row that Donald Trump’s net approval rating has been in the negative.”

When asked if there were any issue areas where Trump was performing well, Enten responded bluntly: “None of them, really. He’s doing poorly on all of them.” He listed several problem areas — immigration, foreign policy, the economy, trade/tariffs — and noted the Epstein-related numbers were particularly stark.

Key itemized snapshots:

  • Epstein-related approval: roughly 38 points underwater, Enten noted.
  • Broader issues such as immigration, foreign policy, the economy and trade all showed negative net ratings in Enten’s aggregate.

Berman and Enten also discussed the role of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell in public confidence about the economy. Enten observed that Powell is the subject of a Department of Justice review related to testimony about a Federal Reserve building project; Powell has suggested the probe is connected to Trump’s desire for lower interest rates. Enten added that prediction markets put the chance of Powell’s removal before May at about 8%.

“So again, it’s just universally at this point bad news for Donald Trump across the board,” Enten concluded.
