JetBlue Records and Witness Testimony Contradict Husband’s Account in Ana Walshe Disappearance

Key testimony on day three: Trooper Nicholas Guarino described disturbing internet searches linked to Brian Walshe’s devices, including queries about disposing of remains and removing DNA. JetBlue records show Ana Walshe was marked a “no show” for a Jan. 3 return flight and had other trips refunded or missed. Witnesses — including airline, customs and K-9 personnel — testified, and the defense largely declined to cross-examine.

JetBlue Records and Witness Testimony Contradict Husband’s Account in Ana Walshe Disappearance

On the third day of the trial of Brian Walshe, multiple witnesses — including a state trooper, airline records personnel, a Customs agent and a K-9 officer — provided testimony that challenged Walshe’s account of the days leading up to his wife Ana Walshe’s disappearance.

Investigators Detail Troubling Online Searches

Massachusetts State Police Trooper Nicholas Guarino testified about internet searches tied to devices linked to Walshe. The searches included queries about disposing of human remains and removing DNA from a knife, alongside unrelated searches for Porsches, diamond jewelry and an explicit video referencing a cheating wife. Prosecutors say the searches also referenced the name of a Washington, D.C., realtor, William Fastow, whom they contend may be tied to an alleged affair.

Travel Records Contradict Husband’s Statement

Thomas Menino, a JetBlue corporate security official and records custodian at Boston Logan International Airport, testified about Ana Walshe’s air travel in late 2022 and early 2023. Menino said a Washington-to-Boston flight on Dec. 25 was refunded and that Ana took the same route on Dec. 30. He further testified that Ana was marked as a "no show" on a Jan. 3 return ticket to Washington and that she missed several other prebooked flights later in January. Ana was last seen on Jan. 1, 2023.

Search Efforts and Missing-Person Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent William Foley provided brief testimony about Ana’s travel activity in the weeks before she vanished. Cohasset Police K-9 Sgt. Patrick Reardon described a Jan. 5, 2023, search around the Walshe home with his dog, Einstein, which produced no significant findings. Cohasset School Resource Officer Gregory Lowrance testified that Walshe told him Ana left on Jan. 1 for a flight from Boston to Washington; Lowrance took a missing-person report from Walshe on Jan. 4.

The defense largely declined to cross-examine several witnesses, including Trooper Guarino, Menino and Sgt. Reardon. Prosecutors have suggested two possible motives in the case: anger over an alleged affair and an asserted belief by the defendant that he might avoid consequences in an unrelated art fraud case if his wife were no longer present and he remained the sole caregiver for their three children. Walshe’s defense denies any knowledge of an affair.
