Boeing will manufacture 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for the Polish Armed Forces as part of a U.S. Army foreign military sales contract valued at nearly $4.7 billion. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028, marking the largest single foreign Apache purchase in the program's history outside the United States.

Contract and delivery details

The contract covers production of AH-64E aircraft for multiple international customers, with Poland's order representing the largest quantity ordered abroad to date. Boeing confirmed that delivery operations will begin in 2028 and that Polish crews are already receiving training.

Training and interim support

The Polish Ministry of National Defence currently leases eight Apache helicopters from the U.S. Army and has begun training pilots and maintenance personnel on the type to accelerate operational readiness once the new aircraft arrive.

Program scale and recent activity

According to Boeing, more than 1,300 Apache helicopters are in operational service worldwide. The Pentagon also noted that Boeing recently secured two defense contracts totaling more than $7 billion: the nearly $4.7 billion Apache sale and a separate roughly $2.4 billion contract for Air Force Lot 12 production aircraft and related subscriptions and licenses.

In recent months Boeing has delivered new AH-64E Apaches to international customers including the Australian Army, the Indian Army and the Royal Moroccan Air Force.
