DoorDash Driver Arrested After Posting TikTok Video of Naked, Sleeping Customer

A DoorDash delivery driver, identified by authorities as 23-year-old Olivia Henderson, was arrested on Nov. 10 in connection with an Oct. 12 incident in Oswego, N.Y., after police say she posted a video on TikTok showing a male customer naked and apparently unconscious inside his home.

Oswego City Police say the investigation began after they received a report on Oct. 13 that a male DoorDash customer was nude inside his residence when Henderson arrived to complete the delivery. Henderson initially reported that she had been sexually assaulted during the encounter; police told PEOPLE they found no evidence to support a sexual-assault claim, and said the man who appears in the video — described as "incapacitated and unconscious" — has been cooperating with investigators.

Police allege Henderson recorded the footage from the exterior of the residence, near the front door, and uploaded it to social media. According to the department, that upload led to her arrest on charges of first-degree dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image and second-degree unlawful surveillance.

Henderson's account: On her TikTok page, Henderson said the customer had committed "indecent exposure," claiming he was naked and asleep in plain view of the entrance where she was instructed to leave the order. She has since posted videos accusing TikTok, DoorDash and the Oswego police of "silencing" or "punishing" her for reporting the alleged assault.

DoorDash response: DoorDash confirmed in an Oct. 16 statement that a Dasher responsible for posting nude photos of a customer was deactivated. The company emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for sexual assault and said it supported the worker for reporting the alleged incident, but that posting a customer's image and personal details violated company policy. DoorDash said the deactivation was solely for the upload of the original video and that the worker retained access to her earnings.

Police say Henderson was released with a ticket for a future court appearance; online court records show she is scheduled to appear on Dec. 4. Court records did not indicate plea information, and the public defender's office representing her did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Legal context: The charges — first-degree dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image and second-degree unlawful surveillance — reflect state privacy and surveillance laws that prohibit recording or distributing intimate images of people without consent, particularly when the subject is in a private setting or incapacitated.

This case highlights tensions between reporting potential crimes, platform policies on sensitive content, and privacy protections for individuals inside their homes. TikTok removed the posted clip, according to Henderson, and did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
