The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office says 28-year-old Nicholas Wieber allegedly began communicating with an 11-year-old girl on Discord in December 2025 and that their messages "quickly became sexual in nature." The girl was reported missing after failing to disembark a Queens school bus on Dec. 12 and was found undressed at Wieber’s Bay Shore home on Dec. 13. Wieber was arraigned Jan. 9 on kidnapping and child endangerment charges, pleaded not guilty and is being held on $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond; he faces up to 25 years to life on the top count if convicted.
11-Year-Old Found Undressed in Bay Shore Man’s Bed After Alleged Online Contact, Prosecutors Say

Prosecutors say an 11-year-old girl who had been communicating with a 28-year-old man online was reported missing from a Queens school bus stop and later found undressed in the man’s Bay Shore residence.
What Prosecutors Allege
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office says Nicholas Wieber, 28, of Bay Shore, began messaging the child on the chat platform Discord in December 2025. According to the indictment, those communications "quickly became sexual in nature." Prosecutors allege Wieber abducted the girl, restrained her for more than twelve hours and intended to sexually abuse her.
Sequence of Events
On Dec. 12, 2025, the child failed to return home after getting off a school bus in Queens. Her mother checked with friends and neighbors and was told the girl had left with an older man. The mother contacted New York State Police, and the investigation led officers to Wieber’s Bay Shore home on Dec. 13, 2025. Suffolk County police responded and, according to the prosecutor’s release, found the child in a state of undress in Wieber’s bed. Wieber was arrested at the scene and the child was reunited with her family.
Charges, Court Status And Potential Penalties
Wieber was arraigned on Jan. 9 on multiple counts, including first-degree and second-degree felony kidnapping and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Court records show he pleaded not guilty. A judge ordered him held on $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 17. If convicted on the top count, he faces a possible sentence of 25 years to life.
District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney thanked investigators for their "vigilance, skill, and determination," saying those efforts "ensured the child was found safely and returned to her parents without delay."
The case remains under investigation as prosecutors continue to develop evidence and prepare for upcoming proceedings. Wieber’s defense attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
