An employee at the LongHorn Steakhouse on Camp Creek Parkway in East Point, Georgia, captured video that appears to show roaches crawling across a kitchen floor strewn with food and trash. The footage, recorded by cook Sean Headley, drew millions of views in less than 24 hours and prompted the chain to say it has addressed the situation and installed new leadership at the location.
Headley told Fox 5 Atlanta that he began working at the Camp Creek location in April and repeatedly raised concerns with on-site managers and LongHorn's corporate office about sanitation and the lack of proper tools to keep the restaurant clean and safe. In his clips he sweeps debris from the floor and points to insects moving across the kitchen, and other shared clips reportedly show a cooked steak left on a shelf near the walk-in cooler.

"There is no way I should work under these conditions," Headley says in one video. "Look what I almost swept up. Look at him."
Headley said coworkers treated him like a "goody two-shoes" for speaking up. He is now urging local health authorities to increase inspections not only at LongHorn sites but across restaurants operated by the chain's parent company, Darden Restaurants.
LongHorn's response: The company issued a statement saying, "The conditions shown are unacceptable and have been addressed. We continue to take the necessary steps to ensure a safe experience for our guests and team members," and confirmed it had placed new leadership at the Camp Creek Parkway restaurant.

The viral footage also exposed a striking discrepancy between what inspectors recorded on paper and what Headley documented: the Camp Creek location received an "A" on its most recent health inspection on Aug. 25, weeks before the video circulated. That gap has raised questions about inspection frequency and what an inspection grade reflects on any given day.
Past Incidents and Broader Concerns
This episode is not LongHorn's first food-safety controversy. In December 2025 the chain's Cobb Parkway restaurant in Atlanta failed a routine inspection with a score of 61; inspectors reported shrimp, cheese, and butter held at unsafe temperatures, uncovered pans of raw steak inside a cooler, and an undercooked salmon plate sent for takeout. LongHorn said at the time it was retraining staff and reinforcing safety procedures.

Public health advocates and consumers say the Camp Creek video highlights the limits of occasional inspections and underscores the value of stronger, ongoing oversight and transparent reporting to ensure restaurant safety. LongHorn's statement signals corrective action at this site, but the viral footage has renewed calls for broader review across other locations.
