Antoinette Forbes, 53, remains missing more than a week after she was last seen at her northwest Washington, D.C., home on Sept. 4. Family, friends and community members held a vigil as the Metropolitan Police Department continues an active investigation into her disappearance.

Details Of The Disappearance

Forbes, a single mother and the associate vice president and head of public affairs at Eli Lilly, was last seen on Friday, Sept. 4, in the 3200 block of Nebraska Avenue NW. According to family and friends, both of her phones (including a work device), her wallet, laptop and car were found at the residence. Her dog, Max, also remained in the home and the front door was unlocked. Authorities describe Forbes as an Asian woman about 5 feet 2 inches tall and approximately 115 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Family Concerns And Search Efforts

Relatives say the circumstances are deeply alarming and that they do not believe she left voluntarily. Aileen Forbes, Antoinette’s older sister, described the family’s reaction as one of “absolute shock and horror.” Friends and neighbors have checked local hospitals and travel records; family friends who live nearby entered the home on Labor Day after not hearing from her and reported finding her personal items but not Antoinette.

Police have confirmed an active investigation but have declined to release additional details. Eli Lilly said it is cooperating with law enforcement and urged anyone with information to contact authorities.
