An illegal resident in Israel arrested for
Israel Police announced on Wednesday that two men were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of planning a terror attack in Jerusalem. Officers located the suspects inside separate apartments in Shuafat after Border Police carried out covert entries into the buildings. The suspects were removed from the area without further incident and transferred to investigators for questioning.
Weapons Seized in A‑Ram
Following the Shuafat arrests, police said they discovered multiple illegal weapons and other illicit items in two locations in the town of A‑Ram. The contraband reportedly included a Glock pistol and ammunition, an FN pistol, a hunting rifle, an M5 scope, a police vest and two Palestinian flags. During the A‑Ram operation officers detained three suspects in their 20s and transferred them for questioning. Two of those suspects had their detentions extended until Sunday, while the third was released under conditions pending further inquiry.
Separate Arrests: Alleged Indecent Acts and Illegal Residency
In a separate case, police said they arrested a 20‑year‑old illegal resident on suspicion of committing indecent acts against two minors and a young woman. According to authorities, civilians summoned police to Charles Clore Beach in Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening, where the alleged incidents occurred. The suspect was questioned at a police station and later remanded in custody.

Also on Wednesday, officers arrested a 22‑year‑old who had initially claimed to be an Israeli citizen; investigators determined he was a Palestinian from Hebron living and working in Israel without authorization. The man was reportedly observed wearing a kippah while employed at a restaurant in Holon. He was taken for questioning and the restaurant owner was detained as part of the inquiry.
Beit Hanina Operation: Vehicles and Suspected Counterfeit Goods Seized
Separately in Beit Hanina, police conducted a broader enforcement operation that included foreclosure of two vehicles whose owners were in debt, with a combined value of about 122,000 shekels. Authorities also seized a range of items suspected of being stolen or counterfeit, including 3,330 miniature drink cans, 17 ALO brand shirts, 19 accessories (belts and Louis Vuitton handbags) and 13 Rolex watches. Business owners linked to the seized goods were brought in for questioning and the investigation is ongoing.
