The raid in Ramla brought together Special Patrol Unit officers, Central District Police intelligence teams, Border Police personnel from the Sharon branch and local Ramla police. Officials said the seizure is part of an effort to stop military‑grade weapons from leaking out of the Israel Defense Forces and into criminal networks.

In a separate action in Lod, officers from the Border Police's Shfela branch and Lod police detectives searched a location where they seized six magazines and hundreds of rounds of assorted ammunition. A suspect at the Lod scene was detained and is being questioned by investigators.
Both operations were carried out by the Central District Police's task force, which focuses on tackling crime hotspots and violent disputes in Arab communities. Police said the unit's ongoing activities include locating unlawfully held weapons and preventing their transfer to criminal organizations.
Investigators continue to trace the chain of custody for the LAW launcher and the ammunition seized; further arrests or charges may follow as inquiries progress.
