The Israel Police said a 24-year-old Palestinian from Nablus was arrested in Tel Aviv after a cyclist was struck by a stolen car and later died at the hospital.
What Happened
According to police reports, the suspect allegedly stole a vehicle on Yunitsman Street and, while driving it, ran over a cyclist who sustained critical injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead at a local hospital. Officers arrested the suspect at the scene.
Police said officers found a bag inside the stolen vehicle containing items commonly associated with car theft, including an ignition control module, a hammer and implements used to break glass. Authorities are continuing to investigate the scene and gather additional details.

Legal And Border Status
Investigators determined the man had entered Israel without authorization from the West Bank and did not have the necessary documentation to cross into Israel, the police said.
Related Incident This Month
Police noted this is the second reported case in September involving a West Bank resident and a vehicle theft in Tel Aviv. On September 9, officers arrested a 46-year-old resident of Jenin, Tarek Jarrar, on suspicion of stealing the car of Tel Aviv District Court Judge Alaa Masarwain. That case included a pursuit on the Ayalon Highway and ended when officers stopped the vehicle; body-camera footage shows officers breaking the driver's window and removing the suspect.
