French President Emmanuel Macron will visit India from February 17 to 19, holding bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participating in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, the Indian foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
Visit Highlights
According to the ministry statement, Macron will:
- Attend the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, which India is hosting next week.
- Travel to Mumbai, India’s financial capital, to formally inaugurate the India‑France Year Of Innovation.
- Hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a range of regional and global issues, including enhanced cooperation in the Indo‑Pacific.
The two countries previously signed a declaration of intent during Modi’s visit to France last year to establish a partnership on advanced and small modular nuclear reactors. The visit is intended to deepen strategic, technological and economic ties between Paris and New Delhi.
