Erika Kirk announced a private meeting with commentator Candace Owens on Monday, December 15, and both agreed to pause public discussions and livestreams until after the conversation. The meeting follows Owens’ repeated promotion of unverified conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s September killing, including allegations involving foreign actors and the U.S. military. Authorities previously arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who faces seven charges including aggravated murder and whose case has prompted prosecutors to seek the death penalty.
Erika Kirk Will Meet Candace Owens After Urging Her To Stop Spreading Conspiracy Theories

Erika Kirk announced on Sunday that she will meet in person with commentator Candace Owens on Monday, December 15, following public appeals for Owens to stop promoting conspiracy theories about the September killing of her husband, Charlie Kirk.
In a post on X, Erika Kirk said the meeting will be private and confirmed that both parties agreed to pause public discussions, livestreams and social posts until after their conversation. She added she is postponing all livestreams and social updates until the meeting concludes; the date coincides with a previously planned Turning Point USA livestream intended to address the flurry of theories Owens has circulated.
“Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private, in-person discussion on Monday, December 15. [Owens] and I have agreed that public discussions, livestreams, and tweets are on hold until after this meeting. I look forward to a productive conversation. Thank you.”
What Led To The Meeting
The meeting follows repeated and widely criticized speculative claims from Owens about what happened when Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a Turning Point USA event in September. Owens has floated several unverified theories — including suggestions that the U.S. military, pro-Israel operatives, or even a foreign-authorized hit were involved — and has at times named or implied involvement by individuals connected to Turning Point USA and The Charlie Kirk Show.
Those assertions prompted people mentioned by Owens to plan an in-person event later this month intended to rebut her claims; that event appears to be on pause while the private meeting is scheduled to take place.
Legal Status And Family Reaction
Authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson shortly after the shooting at the TPUSA event in September. Robinson faces seven charges, including aggravated murder, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Reports indicate he was turned in to police by family members.
Erika Kirk has publicly expressed frustration with Owens’ online activity. When asked by CBS News chief Bari Weiss about Owens’ comments, Erika Kirk replied simply:
“Stop. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Stop.”She also told Fox News that while criticism is permissible, she is upset that Owens has repeatedly targeted her family and their Turning Point USA community.
Owens has pushed back, saying she remains skeptical about what occurred and that Erika Kirk’s requests have not changed her view: “You are not changing my mind about the fact that something weird happened that day and that TPUSA is acting funny because you give an impassioned plea,” she wrote.
The private meeting presents a chance for a direct conversation between the two figures. Both parties have agreed to refrain from public commentary until after that discussion.
