Erika Kirk Condemns Online Conspiracy Theories, Pleads for Privacy After Husband’s Killing
Erika Kirk speaks onstage during The New York Times DealBook Summit 2025 at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Dec. 03, 2025 in New York City.

Erika Kirk publicly rejected online conspiracy theories about her husband Charlie Kirk’s assassination, pleading for privacy and a sacred resting place for their family. She defended Turning Point USA staff, saying they have faced threats and are exhausted by relentless scrutiny. Kirk stressed that credible leads are being forwarded to investigators and vowed to continue honoring her husband while protecting her children and colleagues.

Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, forcefully rejected a wave of online conspiracy theories about her husband’s assassination and appealed for privacy and protection for her children and family.

Speaking on Fox News’ Outnumbered, Kirk described the toll that baseless accusations and harassment have taken on her family and the organization her husband built. She said she and her team are focused on honoring Charlie Kirk’s legacy and working with investigators, and that she will not be distracted by what she called "noise" from conspiracy circles.

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk is pictured with his wife Erika Kirk on stage at an event earlier this year in Phoenix. Erika Kirk has since stepped into the spotlight following his death.

“Can I have one thing? Can my children have one thing? We will be building the most beautiful memorial for my husband at Turning Point USA. And it will be for the world to see. And it will be spectacular... But can I have one thing? Can my babies have one thing where we hold it sacred?”

Kirk pressed for a sacred, undisturbed resting place for her husband and emphasized that, while he was a public figure to many, he was also her husband and the center of a grieving family.

“This is my husband. Yes, he was Charlie Kirk to the world. But this is my husband, and I want to be able to have one thing left that is sacred to our family, to my in-laws, to my babies, and to my parents. One thing.”

She also addressed those who have suggested the killing should be reduced to a broader debate about gun violence, saying such arguments and unfounded theories distract from the real harm done by online misinformation and harassment.

Erika Kirk appeared on "Hannity" in New York City on Monday to discuss her late husband's new book and share insights into it.

“My silence does not mean that I am complacent. My silence does not mean that somehow Turning Point USA and all of the hand-picked staff that loved my husband and my husband loved them is somehow in on it. We are busy building.”

Kirk said credible leads are being passed to law enforcement and urged investigators to leave no stone unturned. She described the emotional and physical toll on staff, who have reportedly received death and kidnapping threats and are exhausted by repeated public scrutiny.

“My team are not machines. They are human. We have more death threats on our team and our side than I have ever seen... And every time they bring this back up, what are we supposed to do, relive that trauma all over again?”

Defiant and resolute, Kirk vowed not to retreat from her public role in honoring her husband’s memory. She directed her message to conspiracy promoters:

“Come after me. Call me names. I don’t care. But when you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my ‘Charlie Kirk Show’ family — when you go out for the people that I love... no. Stop.”

She concluded by calling the spread of false theories a damaging "mind virus" and reaffirmed her faith in the judicial process and the team pursuing justice. Kirk said she will continue to protect her family, defend her colleagues, and honor her husband’s legacy.
