Candace Owens Alleges U.S. Military Was “Involved” in Charlie Kirk Killing — Offers No Evidence

Candace Owens has again accused the U.S. military of being "involved" in Charlie Kirk's killing, saying the claim comes from a tip she received from a service member after a church prayer. Owens provided no evidence. The allegation follows months of unverified theories linking Kirk's death to pro-Israel actors, Bill Ackman, Turning Point USA associates, and a purported hit ordered by Emmanuel Macron. Authorities have charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson with seven counts, including aggravated murder, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Candace Owens renewed sensational allegations on Tuesday, claiming the U.S. military was "involved" in the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Owens said the claim is based on a tip she says came from a service member and that she plans to reveal more on her show — but she provided no corroborating evidence.

What Owens Said

In a series of Instagram posts, Owens wrote that she was ready to "blow this case open" after receiving what she described as a decisive tip the night before. She said the lead arrived hours after she went to church and prayed for the "final piece," and that the prayer was "immediately answered" when she opened the first email in her tip inbox. Owens did not publish details from the tip or produce supporting documentation.

"It feels like today will be the day that the government can no longer deny it. Charlie Kirk was assassinated and our military was involved," Owens wrote.

Context And Previous Claims

The post is the latest in a string of unverified theories Owens has circulated about Kirk's death over the past three months. Her earlier claims have implicated pro-Israel operatives upset by Kirk's reported change in views, billionaire activist Bill Ackman, associates at Turning Point USA and The Charlie Kirk Show, and — more recently — an alleged hit squad she said was authorized by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Official Case Status

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson shortly after Kirk was shot and killed at a Turning Point USA event in September. Robinson faces seven counts, including aggravated murder, and prosecutors have said they will seek the death penalty. To date, prosecutors have not publicly linked the military, foreign governments, or the other actors Owens has named to the crime.

Reporting Note

Owens' public statements have drawn pushback from friends and colleagues of Kirk, some of whom have invited her to a live event later this month where they say they will rebut her claims. Given the seriousness of the accusations, independent verification and evidence would be required before treating her allegations as factual.
