SpaceX Targets Back-to-Back Starlink Launches from Florida on Dec. 1–2

SpaceX will return to operations in Florida with two Falcon 9 Starlink launches scheduled for Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, from KSC Pad 39A and Cape Canaveral LC-40, respectively. Each mission will place 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. These flights follow an unprecedented run that included the 100th and 101st orbital launches from the Cape this year. Additional missions — another Starlink on Dec. 7 and the NROL-77 national security launch on Dec. 9 — are also being prepared.

SpaceX will resume launches from Florida after a Thanksgiving pause, planning two Falcon 9 Starlink missions for Monday, Dec. 1, and Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The first launch window opens at 12:00 a.m. ET and runs until 4:00 a.m. ET on Monday, with liftoff scheduled from Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The second Falcon 9 is targeted for a 3:16 p.m.–7:16 p.m. ET window on Tuesday from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Both rockets are expected to ascend on southeasterly trajectories. Each mission will deploy 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, continuing SpaceX's ongoing effort to expand its broadband constellation.

"This is an incredible milestone for Florida’s Space Coast, and the teams that make spaceflight feel routine and remarkable all at once should be proud," said U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos in a Nov. 21 tweet. "Here’s to a sky full of satellites and a future full of possibilities."

These flights follow recent activity that included the 100th and 101st orbital launches from the Cape in a single calendar year — a tempo local officials described as historic for the Space Coast.

SpaceX is also targeting another Starlink mission from Kennedy Space Center on Sunday, Dec. 7. On Dec. 9 at 2:16 p.m. ET, the company plans to launch Falcon 9 on the NROL-77 mission from Cape Canaveral, a national security flight for the U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command and the National Reconnaissance Office. NROL-77 will be SpaceX's third national security launch this year for those agencies.

Space Launch Delta 45 noted that last week's Starlink 6-79 launch officially marked the 101st launch of the year from the Space Coast, matching the world record for annual orbital launches from a single installation.

Launch schedules are subject to change due to range availability and weather; spectators should check official launch updates before planning to view.
