Recall Alert: Anna Queen Play Yard (Model P700) Pulled from Amazon Over Infant Suffocation Risk

The CPSC recalled an Anna Queen play yard sold on Amazon after finding it violates mandatory safety standards and could allow infants to become trapped beneath the mattress or between the mattress and the side, risking serious injury or suffocation. About 70 units (Model P700, Production Date 202503), sold from March for $100–$110 and manufactured in China, are affected. No injuries have been reported as of Nov. 20. Owners should stop using the product immediately and follow Anna Queen’s refund and destruction instructions.

Recall Alert: Anna Queen Play Yard (Model P700) Pulled from Amazon Over Infant Suffocation Risk

What happened: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on Nov. 20 that an Anna Queen play yard sold on Amazon has been recalled because it violates mandatory play yard safety standards and poses a risk of serious injury or death to infants.

Why it was recalled

The CPSC warns that "infants can become entrapped under the mattress or between the side of the play yard and the mattress," creating a risk of serious injury or deadly suffocation. The agency determined the product fails to meet required safety measures for play yards, including side height, side deflection and strength, and floor strength, as well as mesh and fabric material specifications.

Product details

The recalled product was sold on Amazon beginning in March for about $100–$110. Approximately 70 units are affected. The play yard was manufactured in China and is described as having black fabric sides with gray-bordered mesh panels. The top rails and mattress feature a white background with a multi-colored bear-print pattern. The packaging and a removable tag on the product show Model: P700 and Production Date: 202503.

What owners should do

If you purchased this Anna Queen play yard, stop using it immediately. The company is offering a full refund but requires owners to follow these steps before disposal: disassemble the fabric cover from the frame, cut up the fabric cover and mattress pad, and send a photo of the destroyed play yard to Anna Queen for verification. After verification you may discard the destroyed product.

The CPSC reported that, as of Nov. 20, it had not received any incident or injury reports related to this play yard.

About play yards

The CPSC defines a play yard as a framed enclosure with a floor and mesh or fabric sides intended to provide sleeping and play accommodation for a child who cannot climb out and is less than 35 inches in height. Mandatory standards exist to ensure minimum side height, structural strength, and appropriate mesh and fabric materials to prevent entrapment and related hazards.

Safety tips for parents and caregivers

  • Immediately stop using the recalled play yard if you own one and check the tag for Model: P700 and Production Date: 202503.
  • If you purchased through Amazon, use your order history to locate the seller and follow the recall instructions or contact Anna Queen as directed in the recall notice.
  • Do not attempt to modify the mattress or frame to fix the issue; follow the company’s destruction and refund process.
  • Register other baby gear with the manufacturer when possible and monitor CPSC recall listings for updates.

If you have questions about the recall or need help confirming whether your product is affected, contact the seller through your Amazon order page or follow the recall instructions provided by Anna Queen.
