Couple Arrested After Allegedly Having Sex Inside Restaurant During Burglary in Scottsdale

Two people were arrested after surveillance footage reportedly captured them inside a closed Scottsdale restaurant during an overnight burglary — and engaging in intimate behavior while on the premises.

What happened

Police say the incident occurred in the early morning hours of Oct. 25, 2025, at Mon Cheri Restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale. Interior surveillance video helped investigators identify 30-year-old Corrisa K. Sucanick and 39-year-old Brian H. Morrow, and community tips furthered the inquiry.

Arrests and charges

Sucanick was located and arrested on Nov. 3, and Morrow was taken into custody the next day at a Motel 6 in Phoenix. Both were booked into the Maricopa County Jail without incident. According to police, Sucanick was booked on one count of third-degree burglary. Morrow faces a charge of third-degree burglary and an additional count for possession of burglary tools.

Owner reaction and loss

The restaurant's owners reported their business had been ransacked and that roughly $450 was taken from the register. Owner Lexi Kalikin said the suspects damaged decorative floral displays, adding emotional frustration to the financial loss.

"They violated our roses, and we’re just not okay with that," Kalikin said, describing the damage to the restaurant's decor.

Police statement on the surveillance footage

Officials acknowledged that the footage appears to show the two people engaging in sexual activity inside the closed restaurant. However, a police spokesperson said those actions do not meet the criteria for criminal charges, and neither suspect was booked on any charges related to the intimate activity.

The investigation remains active. Prosecutors will determine the final charges and any potential court dates as the case moves forward.
