Greene Questions Whether Trump Will Release Full Epstein Files as Bill Awaits His Signature

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed doubt that President Trump’s administration will release the full Jeffrey Epstein files, despite a new bipartisan bill approved by Congress. Greene spoke at a Capitol press event with women who say they were victims and with bill co-sponsors Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA). She warned the records could remain tied up with the DOJ, the CIA, or in court, and thanked the bipartisan sponsors for pushing for transparency as the measure heads to the president’s desk.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Tuesday expressed skepticism that President Donald Trump’s administration will make the full Jeffrey Epstein files public, even after Congress approved legislation intended to force disclosure.

Greene held a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol alongside several women who say they were victims of Epstein. She was joined by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA), the bipartisan sponsors of the bill aimed at compelling the Department of Justice to release the records.

"While I want to see every single name released so that these women don’t have to live in fear and intimidation—which is something I’ve had a small taste of in just the past few days, just a small taste—they’ve been living it for years," Greene said.

Greene warned the records could still be withheld or delayed, asking whether the Department of Justice, the CIA, or a federal judge in New York will ultimately decide what is released. She also raised concern that private lists some victims hold — kept out of fear of retaliation — may never be made public.

She thanked Massie and Khanna for crossing the partisan divide to press for transparency, calling their cooperation "more of what is needed today in America than ever in our history."

The measure has passed both the House and the Senate and now awaits President Trump’s signature. Supporters say the release would provide greater transparency and possibly identify individuals implicated in Epstein-related investigations; opponents have raised legal and privacy concerns that could shape how, and how much, information is disclosed.
