The surgical package reportedly included a facelift, blepharoplasty, liposuction and facial fat grafting. According to local reporting, the operation took place on August 12 and Andreia died several days later after developing severe postoperative complications.

Family Allegations
Andreia’s sister, Djiane Vieira, told reporters that Andreia did not have a pre-procedure consultation in Brazil and that preoperative tests were carried out in Spain. Djiane says that after Andreia developed severe swelling of the tongue—an emergency that can compromise the airway—the family repeatedly tried to contact the clinic’s medical team but did not receive prompt or adequate assistance.
"My sister is dying. For God's sake. You answer the phone, but nobody shows up. For God's sake," Djiane said.
Hospital And Doctor Responses
Hospital and medical representatives have disputed the family’s version. In a legal statement, Dr. Lessandro Martins said: "Out of respect for medical confidentiality — which persists even after death, as mandated by the Medical Code of Ethics — no interviews will be granted, nor will comments be made regarding clinical data... The doctor trusts that the investigation will demonstrate the correctness of the care provided." A lawyer for Ankar Hospital said the patient "received immediate emergency care" and that "necessary measures were taken" to treat her.
