Retired Master Sgt. Says He Filmed Three UAPs Near Barksdale AFB; Questions Drone Explanation

Former Master Sgt. Ron Bilak, a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran, says he recorded video of three silent, fast-moving objects near Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana, in December 2024. Bilak describes the objects’ maneuvers as unlike any conventional aircraft or drone he has seen.

What Bilak Reported

Bilak told reporters the objects were silent, flashed intermittently and executed rapid lateral and vertical movements. He said their behavior matched what the Pentagon calls the five observables used to describe unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs).

“There’s no way to describe these objects as anything that I’ve ever seen before in flight pattern. They flashed, moved left to right, up and down so quick that I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Bilak said.

Bilak said he experienced all five behaviors in the December sighting. He added that while he served at Barksdale he never personally observed such phenomena and was not aware of internal discussions about similar objects during his active duty.

He also recounted seeing a social media post claiming someone tried to hand evidence to officials at the base's west gate and was turned away, though Bilak did not personally witness that exchange.

Separate March 2026 Drone Reports

On March 6, 2026, local reports from NewsNation affiliate KTAL described multiple drone sightings over Barksdale. Base officials issued a temporary shelter-in-place order that was later lifted and said base operations were not threatened. Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy later said he attended a classified briefing about those March incidents and expected more information before speaking publicly.

Bilak expressed skepticism that the March 2026 events were conventional drones, citing the unusual motion he documented in December 2024 and saying the level of drone activity near Shreveport did not seem plausible to him.

An ex-FBI agent reportedly told NewsNation that investigator deaths and disappearances discussed in some coverage were not related to the incidents, though public details remain limited and attribution is uncertain.

The December videos Bilak provided and the March 2026 reports highlight ongoing questions about aerial incursions near military installations. Officials have said investigations are underway, and no operational threat was reported following the March shelter-in-place order.
