What Happened

On the weekend of Jan. 31, 2025, Toman traveled to the ski resort with two friends for a short getaway. After a day on the slopes and an evening of dinner and drinks, he left alone to return to the hotel and was seen on video around 3 a.m. on Feb. 2. He never returned to his room, and when he failed to answer calls later that day he was reported missing.

Searches and Evidence

Local authorities launched an intensive search that reportedly lasted 12 days and used ATVs, snowmobiles and helicopters. In March, a resort employee found Toman’s wallet near a parking lot, but there have been no confirmed signs of him since.

“You can't explain that to anybody, what it's like living without an answer,” Kathleen Toman, Liam’s mother, told the CBC. “We are just at a loss. This is what it's done to our family: we're at a complete loss.”

Ongoing Investigation and Appeal

Investigators have not publicly ruled out criminal activity and the investigation remains active. The family has established a website, liamtoman.com, and is offering a $50,000 reward for information. Police ask anyone with relevant information to call the departmental tip line at 1-800-659-4264.

If you visited the resort the weekend of Jan. 31–Feb. 2, 2025, or recall anything unusual from that trip, authorities and the Toman family urge you to come forward — even small details could matter.
