Anti‑ICE protesters in Eagan, Minnesota, surrounded and vandalized conservative influencer Nick Sortor’s truck, which he says sustained smashed windows, spray paint and had frozen water bottles used against it. Sortor alleged he and fellow influencer Cam Higby were threatened and chased on the interstate; both say they are safe and thanked Eagan police for intervening. The protest follows nationwide demonstrations after an ICE officer fatally shot Renee Nicole Good; DHS says she "weaponized her vehicle." The shooting is under federal investigation and has become politically divisive.

Anti‑Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protesters in Eagan, Minnesota, surrounded and vandalized the vehicle of conservative influencer Nick Sortor on Sunday, according to video clips he posted on X. Sortor says his vehicle's glass was broken, the rear window was spray‑painted, and demonstrators used frozen water bottles against him and his companions.

What Sortor Says Happened

In a video shared online, Sortor describes being encircled by protesters as he attempted to leave. He wrote that demonstrators "then used vehicles to BLOCK US as we were running, forcing me to throw the truck off the road to go around them," and that they were later "chased down the interstate by another one of their goons."

"They protected me when violent rioters were after us," Sortor wrote, thanking officers from the Eagan Police Department.

Sortor alleged he and fellow influencer Cam Higby received repeated death threats during the incident. He said both men were safe and publicly expressed gratitude to local police for intervening. In a separate clip, Sortor shows white spray paint on the truck’s rear window and pulls frozen water bottles from the truck bed that he says were used against them.

Broader Context

The Minnesota demonstration is one of several protests in recent days in cities including Los Angeles, Portland and New York following the fatal shooting of 37‑year‑old Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer. The Department of Homeland Security has said Good "weaponized her vehicle" and attempted to strike an officer, and federal authorities are investigating the shooting.

Video of the shooting has become a political flashpoint. Some observers say the footage supports the government’s assertion that the agent acted in self‑defense, while others say it raises questions about DHS’s account and broader concerns about ICE use of force. The shooting remains under federal investigation.
