Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) sharply rebuked a producer for Jesse Watters Primetime after he approached her outside the Capitol with an on-air invitation — and then publicly labeled host Jesse Watters a "pervert." The brief but pointed exchange was recorded and later shared online.
The producer, identified as Johnny Belisario, asked Ocasio-Cortez whether she would appear on the Fox News program. The congresswoman declined and cited past remarks by Watters that she called sexualized and harassing.
"He has sexualized and harassed me on his show. He has engaged in horrific, sexually exploitative rhetoric," Ocasio-Cortez said during the exchange.
When Belisario disputed her claim, she responded with a specific example: Watters previously suggested she wanted to "sleep with" Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. She then walked away.
The interaction was filmed by Pablo Manríquez of Migrant Insider and shared online by Acyn Torabi of MeidasTouch. Ocasio-Cortez later quote-retweeted the clip and wrote:
"You can either be a pervert or ask me to be on your little show. Not both. Good luck!"
In October, Watters said on air that he thought "AOC wants to sleep with" Stephen Miller. During the same period, Watters also defended Miller and used the phrase "sexual matador" on his program. Ocasio-Cortez had previously mocked Miller, calling him a "clown" and commenting on his height.
