The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $1.6 billion, the fourth-largest prize in the game's history, after no winner on Saturday. Odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 292.2 million. The winner may choose a $1.6 billion annuity or an estimated $735.3 million lump-sum, both before taxes. Draws occur Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET, and players can add Power Play for $1 to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
Powerball Soars to $1.6 Billion — Fourth-Largest Jackpot; Next Draw Monday

The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.6 billion, making it the fourth-largest prize in the game's history after no ticket matched all six numbers on Saturday night.
What You Need To Know
The odds of winning the jackpot remain about 1 in 292.2 million. If a ticket matches all five white balls plus the red Powerball in the same play line, the winner can choose either the advertised annuity of $1.6 billion (paid over 30 annual installments) or a one-time lump sum estimated at $735.3 million. Both amounts are before federal and applicable state taxes and other withholdings.
Powerball drawings are held live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. Retail sales cutoff times vary by jurisdiction and typically close one to two hours before the drawing. You can watch the drawing live through official state lottery sites or participating broadcasters.
Latest Drawing Results
The winning numbers for Dec. 20 were: 4 - 5 - 28 - 52 - 69, and the Powerball was 20. The Power Play multiplier was 3X.
How Wins Work
To win the jackpot you must match all five white balls (in any order) plus the red Powerball on a single play line; you cannot combine numbers from different tickets or play lines. If you don’t match all six numbers, there are still eight other prize tiers for matching various combinations of white balls and the Powerball.
Players may add Power Play for $1 per play line to multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X (the multiplier is drawn during the Powerball drawing). For example, eight players on Saturday each won $1 million for matching five white balls (with Power Play).
If no ticket claims the grand prize, the jackpot will roll and continue to grow for the next drawing.
