President Trump’s nominee for NASA administrator, Jared Isaacman, is scheduled for a Senate confirmation vote on Monday after his earlier nomination was withdrawn in May following a “thorough review of prior associations.” If confirmed, Isaacman — an entrepreneur who led the Inspiration4 private SpaceX mission — would head NASA as it works to meet an accelerated timetable to return astronauts to the Moon under the Artemis program. Lawmakers are expected to probe the prior review and press him on schedules, safety and program costs during confirmation.
