Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) will hold a news conference Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. EST to address a Department of Defense review into his conduct related to a joint video released last month.

Kelly was one of six former service members and intelligence officials who said in the video that U.S. troops are not required to follow illegal orders. All six participants previously served in the military or in intelligence roles.

On Tuesday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth directed the U.S. Navy to complete, by Dec. 10, a review of the DOD complaint concerning Kelly's remarks. The review will examine whether the public statements violated department policies governing political activity and the conduct of current or former service members.

Kelly, a retired Navy pilot and current U.S. senator from Arizona, has publicly rejected efforts to intimidate him. In a social media post last week he wrote:

“If Trump’s trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.”

At the news conference, Kelly is expected to address the review and respond to comments from President Trump and Secretary Hegseth. Viewers can watch his remarks live at 3:30 p.m. EST on Monday.
