Leaked emails published by the US Congress from a large batch of documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein suggest he acknowledged a photograph showing Prince Andrew with Virginia Giuffre is genuine. The messages include Epstein saying Giuffre was on his plane and had her picture taken with Andrew, and show the former duke telling associates, “I can’t take any more of this.” Giuffre has accused Andrew of sexual encounters dating to 2001; Andrew denies the claims. The disclosures add to scrutiny of his ties to Epstein, whose estate and related documents have been the subject of ongoing investigation.

Leaked emails indicate Epstein acknowledged photo of Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre
Leaked messages made public by the US Congress as part of a tranche of roughly 23,000 files suggest Jeffrey Epstein appeared to acknowledge that a widely circulated photograph showing Prince Andrew with his arm around Virginia Giuffre (formerly Virginia Roberts) was genuine.
The emails, drawn from documents tied to Epstein’s estate, include exchanges in which Epstein writes that Giuffre was on his plane and had her picture taken with Andrew. Other messages show the former duke telling associates: “I can’t take any more of this.”
Giuffre has alleged that she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew in March 2001 when she was 17, and has accused him of additional encounters in New York and on Epstein’s private island. Prince Andrew has consistently denied those allegations.
In a July 2011 note to a journalist, Epstein wrote: “The girl has fled the country with an outstanding arrest warrant… she has no credibility… Yes she was on my plane, and yes she had her picture taken with Andrew, as many of my employees have.”
In a separate March 2011 chain, after a Mail on Sunday journalist asked for comment about connections between Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Giuffre, an apparent reply from Prince Andrew to Maxwell said: “Hey there! What’s all this? I don’t know anything about this. You must SAY so please. This has NOTHING to do with me. I can’t take any more of this.”
Other messages show Epstein and his associates discussing how to respond publicly. In one exchange Epstein wrote he had asked lawyers to send a letter and described the allegations as "salacious and ridiculous" (sic).
The disclosures have compounded public scrutiny of Andrew’s past association with Epstein. In the wake of the Epstein scandal, the then-King removed many of Prince Andrew’s public roles and patronages and curtailed his public duties. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of helping procure and traffic girls for Epstein and is serving a lengthy prison sentence.
Context: Jeffrey Epstein died in custody in 2019. The newly released files are part of documentation handled by US authorities and related to civil litigation and the administration of Epstein’s estate.
