President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine successfully intercepted Russian ballistic missiles overnight, as Moscow continued a wave of strikes across the country. He again appealed for more Western air-defence ammunition, saying Ukraine remains short of interceptors needed to stop high-speed ballistic weapons.

Zelensky thanked the United States and Norway for supplying "a NASAMS system and the package of missiles for it," which Kyiv says will bolster its air-defence capabilities. He also expressed gratitude to France and Germany for recent deliveries of air-defence missiles, without providing further operational details.
Damage Report
The president reported fresh damage from the overnight attacks. In Kyiv, data and business centres as well as residential buildings were struck. In the Odesa region he said an educational institution, a dormitory and two foreign vessels were hit. In total, Ukrainian authorities said nine regions experienced attacks overnight, with damage to energy infrastructure, residential buildings and civilian companies.
Moscow's Account And Verification
The Defence Ministry in Moscow confirmed strikes on Kyiv and Odesa. According to a Telegram post by the ministry, Russian forces hit two weapons depots and two data centres in Kyiv and its surroundings; in Odesa they struck two ships, a substation and port facilities. These claims could not be independently verified at the time of reporting.
On X, Zelensky wrote: "I am grateful to France and Germany for the air defence support package provided in recent days, specifically the missiles."
Kyiv continues to press Western partners for additional long-range interceptors and missiles to strengthen its layered air-defence network amid ongoing Russian strikes.
