Four Utah siblings who disappeared after Thanksgiving were found at an orphanage in Dubrovnik and released to their father, Kendall Seymour, who says the family is "on the way home." Utah authorities had issued an arrest warrant for the mother, Elleshia Anne Seymour, on charges including custodial interference and removing a child from the state. Croatian officials confirmed a U.S. national was detained and coordinated the transfer while advising on required documentation. It was unclear as of Feb. 3 whether the family had returned to the U.S.

Four Utah children who disappeared after Thanksgiving were located at an orphanage in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and have been released into their father's custody, family updates say.

What Happened

The siblings — 11-year-old Landon Seymour, 8-year-old Levi Parker Seymour, 7-year-old Hazel Raye Seymour and 3-year-old Jacob Kurt Brady — vanished after spending Thanksgiving with their mother, Elleshia Anne Seymour, in West Jordan, Utah. Surveillance footage from Salt Lake City International Airport reportedly shows Elleshia boarding a flight with the four children on Nov. 29, 2025.

Discovery And Return

Their father, Kendall Seymour, who is the legal parent of three of the children, launched a GoFundMe on Dec. 8, 2025, saying the children had been taken out of the country. In an update posted Jan. 25, 2026, Kendall said he had located the children at an orphanage in Dubrovnik. He reported that the children were released into his custody, with a follow-up update on Jan. 29 confirming the transfer. On Feb. 1 he wrote, "We're on the way home!" It was not immediately clear whether the family had arrived back in the United States as of Feb. 3.

Legal And Consular Matters

Utah authorities issued an arrest warrant for Elleshia on charges including four counts of custodial interference and removing a child from the state. Croatian outlets reported Elleshia's arrest in Dubrovnik on allegations related to violation of a child's rights. The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs confirmed that a U.S. national had been detained and that four U.S. children were in Croatian custody, but did not release names. Officials said they followed established protocols while coordinating the transfer of the children and briefing Kendall on the documentation required to retrieve them.

Allegations And Context

Kendall said Elleshia left behind a list of instructions suggesting an effort to avoid tracking, including directives to "shred paperwork, destroy identifying photos, throw away phone, purchase pre-paid phone." A former boyfriend told local media that Elleshia had expressed fears about the "end of times" and "biblical events," statements Kendall says he did not know about during or after their marriage.
