Alexander Brothers Stand Trial In Manhattan On Sex Trafficking And Sexual Assault Allegations

NEW YORK — The federal trial of three affluent Alexander brothers — Oren, Tal and Alon — opened Tuesday in Manhattan, where prosecutors say the siblings sexually assaulted and trafficked women and girls over more than a decade. The defendants have pleaded not guilty to all charges in an indictment that names seven identified victims and describes a broader pattern of alleged conduct.
Allegations
Prosecutors allege the brothers used their wealth and connections to lure women to lavish parties and upscale locations — including New York City, the Hamptons, Las Vegas and on cruise ships — where victims were allegedly drugged, sexually assaulted and raped. The indictment describes suspected crimes occurring between 2008 and 2021. More than 20 women could be called to testify, some under pseudonyms to protect their identities. The siblings also face multiple civil lawsuits alleging sexual abuse.
Prosecutors' account: The indictment says victims were invited to luxury settings and then incapacitated and abused. One alleged victim scheduled to testify says she met two of the brothers at an NBA Finals watch party in Manhattan in June 2012 and was raped twice after being given drugs and alcohol and losing consciousness.
Defendants And Legal Teams
Oren and Tal Alexander co-founded the luxury real estate brokerage Official; Alon Alexander worked as an executive at a private security firm. Tal Alexander, 39, faces nine charges; his twin brothers Oren and Alon, both 38, each face eight counts. All three have pleaded not guilty. Each brother is represented by his own legal team; Oren Alexander's defense counsel includes Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos.
Procedural Status
The three men were arrested in December 2024 and remain detained at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center while awaiting trial. The case is proceeding in Manhattan federal court. As with any criminal matter, the allegations in the indictment have not been proven; the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
