Charity Beallis, 40, and her 6-year-old twins were found shot dead in their Bonanza, Arkansas, home on Dec. 3. Charity’s body was released to her adult son and buried on Dec. 29, 2025, while the twins’ remains were released to their estranged father, Dr. Randall Beallis, who previously pleaded guilty to third-degree battery. Charity had sought custody and a protective order amid earlier domestic violence allegations. The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating and has not identified whether Randall is a suspect.
Arkansas Mother Buried Without Her Twins After Children’s Remains Were Released to Estranged, Convicted Ex-Husband

Charity Beallis, 40, and her 6-year-old twins were found shot to death in their Bonanza, Arkansas, home on Dec. 3. According to a media release from the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and local reporting, deputies discovered the bodies after responding to a wellness check at about 9:30 a.m.
Charity’s remains were released to her adult son, 24-year-old John Powell, while the twins’ bodies were turned over to their father, Dr. Randall Beallis, 56, multiple local outlets reported. Charity was buried on Dec. 29, 2025, without her children — a decision that her surviving son says went against the family’s wishes.
Family Reaction
John Powell told the Daily Mail he had hoped to bury his mother and siblings together. He said he has not been told whether the twins were buried or cremated and criticized Randall for not sharing information with the family.
“It’s sickening. I was hoping to have them all in the same place, as they deserved and how they would have wanted it… I don’t even know if the kids have been buried, or cremated, or where they may be. It’s heartbreaking.”
Background And Legal History
Court records and local reporting detail a history of domestic violence allegations in the marriage. Charity had filed court documents in March seeking full custody of the children and a protective order after Randall was arrested and charged with domestic violence. Records cited by news outlets alleged Randall choked and injured Charity on Feb. 16.
Randall Beallis was initially charged with aggravated assault on a family member, third-degree domestic battery and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, according to online records. In October he pleaded guilty to third-degree battery and received a one-year suspended sentence and a $1,500 fine. The court also ordered that he have no contact with his estranged wife or her family unless authorized by a valid court order.
Investigation Status
The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the discovery of the deaths and said the investigation into all three deaths remains active. Officials have declined to say whether Randall Beallis is a suspect. On Dec. 4, the day after the deaths were discovered, Randall’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the couple’s divorce case on the grounds that “the plaintiff passed away,” according to court records.
Neither Randall’s attorney nor the SCSO immediately responded to additional requests for comment from national outlets. Local reporting and court records remain the primary sources for the sequence of events and the prior criminal case.
