Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City: A new landmark on Malaysia's east coast
Global hospitality company Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with J City Group and Trinidad Hospitality to operate Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City, located on Jalan Merdeka in central Kuantan, Pahang. The property is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026.
The development is a conversion of a former serviced-apartment complex into a luxury hotel offering 361 rooms, including suites ranging from 743 to 1,299 sq ft. Trinidad Hospitality says the building will become the tallest structure in central Kuantan once it is operational.
Facilities and guest experience
Wyndham Garden Kuantan will include a multi-purpose hall for meetings and events and a range of leisure amenities set within landscaped grounds: an Olympic-size infinity pool, a gymnasium, a jogging track and a children's playground. Its central location places guests within easy reach of local attractions such as Kuantan 188, the Esplanade Kuantan and East Coast Mall.
