Three Jersey heritage sites recognised in Visit England awards

Three Jersey attractions have been honoured in Visit England's Visitor Attraction Accolades. Jersey Museum, the Art Gallery and the Victorian House each received a gold award for excellence in the national scheme.

The Maritime Museum was presented with the Welcome accolade, while La Hougue Bie Tearoom picked up the Quality Food and Drink award.

All six Jersey Heritage visitor sites were also awarded the Visit England Quality Rose Marque after achieving high assessment scores, reflecting consistently strong standards across the organisation's sites.

“These national awards are about providing an outstanding experience for visitors and mean a huge amount to our team at Jersey Heritage,” said Morgan Ward, head of visitor services. He congratulated staff for maintaining high standards which “continue to impress the Visit England assessors.”

Although Visit England primarily supports tourism businesses in England, Jersey Heritage chose to enter the national quality assessment scheme to benchmark its visitor experience against recognised national standards. The awards highlight the island's cultural offer and the team’s commitment to delivering excellent visitor experiences.
