According to reports, Patrick, 38, moved to Manhattan after the killings, finalized a divorce from Lindsay and married fertility specialist Dr. Rachel Danis, 37. The couple wed in Central Park in April. A friend close to the pair told reporters that Danis has played a nurturing role during Patrick’s recovery.
“Pat has obviously gone through an incredible trauma, and Rachel is a nurturing person by nature,” the friend said. “She is upbeat, smiling, vivacious and full of energy. She has a heart of gold and wants to help him heal.”
Authorities say Patrick discovered the bodies of his children — Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months — and called 911 after Lindsay allegedly strangled them with exercise bands and then attempted to take her own life.
