Beekeeper's Naturals has issued a voluntary recall for its 1-fl. oz. Saline Nasal Spray after testing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed the product exceeded acceptable microbiological limits for yeast and may contain Aspergillus species, a common mold, the agency said in a June 11 release.
Product details: The recall applies to lot number 5950 with an expiration date of 02/2028. These identifiers appear on the bottom or back label of the 1-fl. oz. bottles sold exclusively through Amazon.
Health risks: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the FDA, exposure to Aspergillus can cause serious infections — including invasive sinusitis and lung infections — particularly in people with lung disease or weakened immune systems. Beekeeper's Naturals has received four consumer reports describing sinus congestion, irritation, or infection possibly linked to the product.
How the contamination occurred: The company says a clerical error caused it to ship 585 units of the affected lot to Amazon before final test results were received. Those units were sold between April 2 and April 24, 2026. The FDA reported that customers who purchased the impacted lot have been contacted.

What to do if you bought the product: Stop using the spray immediately if your bottle shows lot number 5950 and an expiration date of 02/2028.
