The Home Front Command issued tightened security guidelines for Israel's northern communities on Saturday night as tensions with Hezbollah escalated. The measures limit public gatherings, close beaches and suspend educational activities in communities along the Lebanon border while allowing some workplaces to remain open under protective conditions.
What the Measures Say
Gatherings: Outdoor gatherings are limited to a maximum of 50 people and indoor gatherings to 200 people.
Beaches: All beaches in the affected areas are closed to the public.
Education: All educational activities in the border communities have been canceled until 20:00 on Monday.
Workplaces: Workplaces may continue to operate if an appropriate protected space is available at a suitable physical distance and capacity.

Regional Exceptions
In the northern Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee the Home Front Command declared a partial activity level that mirrors the border-area restrictions, with one exception: children may attend school if an accessible protected area is provided.
Medical Facilities and Civil Defense Moves
The Health Ministry announced that Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya is moving operations into its underground complex, including community health centers and infant checkup clinics. Israeli media also reported that Ziv Medical Center in Safed is expected to transition some operations to protected facilities.
Security Incidents Over the Weekend
Over the weekend Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles at northern Israel. Residents across the Western and Upper Galilee rushed to shelters as air-raid sirens sounded. The IDF said it plans to intensify its campaign against the organization in Lebanon.
A video circulated by Army Radio from a Nahariya beach showed projectiles from a Hezbollah barrage impacting the sea and beachgoers running for cover amid explosions. The IDF reported that several projectiles were intercepted or fell in open areas.
The group also struck Karmiel in what officials described as the farthest attack by Hezbollah since the ceasefire took effect about a month ago.
