A family in southern England received devastating news on Sunday after 24-year-old Drew Perham was found dead in the water near Millbay Marina, following a night out on Friday. The discovery came about a day after his family reported him missing when he did not return home.
Local media and Devon and Cornwall Police say Perham’s body was recovered from the water along the English Channel. Authorities have not released a cause of death and investigations remain ongoing.

"We have unfortunately received the most horrendous news, our beautiful and wonderful Drew Perham has been cruelly been taken from us," the family wrote on Facebook, asking for privacy as they process their loss.
Arrests and Investigation
On Monday, Devon and Cornwall Police told PEOPLE that two 19-year-old men have been arrested in connection with Perham’s death. Police did not name the suspects; they said one man is from Plymouth and the other from Exmouth, around 50 miles northeast of the Millbay Marina area where Perham’s body was found.

Detective Superintendent James Dowler said the development has been an "unbelievably difficult time" for the family. He urged anyone with information to come forward, particularly people who were in the Millbay area between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. in the early hours of Saturday, January 24.

"Anyone who has information which may assist the police investigation is asked to please get in touch and report it," Dowler said, emphasizing the importance of public assistance as detectives follow up leads and forensic lines of enquiry.
