DUBAI, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's 90-year-old King Salman presided in person over a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, state television reported, just days after he visited a Riyadh hospital for medical tests and was discharged the same day.

Saudi state TV published a video dated Jan. 20 showing the king seated at the head of the cabinet table and reviewing files with ministers. Reuters said it could not independently verify the footage.

According to the state news agency, King Salman welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s establishment of the "Board of Peace" during the meeting. The report did not provide further details about the board or Saudi involvement.
Health Background
The palace statement and state media noted the king had sought medical tests in Riyadh on Friday and left the same day. King Salman previously received treatment for lung inflammation in 2024.
